(SAFC) has reaffirmed its commitment to aiding those in need.
Through its corporate social responsibility arm, SAFC Heroes, and under the Community Development sub-program Love Hero’s Bayan-i (Ako, Para sa Bayan) Outreach, SAFC employees, alongside esteemed partners, have successfully participated and repacked relief goods for 2,125 evacuees impacted by typhoon Carina.
The typhoon’s devastating sweep across the Philippines has left countless families displaced and yearning for assistance.
In response to this pressing crisis, SAFC joined forces with volunteers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Air Force, Bureau of Fire Protection and Philippine Marine Corps to support the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) headed by director Leo Quintilla and supervising administrative officer Ronald Reonal, for the relief repacking initiative.
Held at the DSWD Central Warehouse, the event was initiated by SAFC chief compliance officer Roseshel Barrun, whose coordination ensured the smooth and efficient repacking of essential goods.
“Our team’s dedication and the overwhelming support from our partners exemplify the spirit of bayanihan. Together, we are stronger and more capable of making a significant impact,” Barrun said.
Corporate Communications Group head Robel de Jesus echoed SAFC’s deep-seated commitment to community support and disaster relief.
“At SAFC, we firmly believe that our responsibility transcends financial services. We are devoted to making a substantial difference in the lives of those we serve, particularly in times of crisis. This initiative is not just about immediate aid; it’s about being with the one community, united in support and resilience,” he said.[/vc_column_text][us_hwrapper valign=”middle” inner_items_gap=”1.20rem”][us_image image=”6547″ size=”medium” link=”%7B%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wazzup.ph%2Fsafc-heroes-in-action-team-effort-to-repack-relief-goods-for-typhoon-carina-evacuees%2F%22%2C%22target%22%3A%22_blank%22%2C%22rel%22%3A%22nofollow%22%7D”][us_image image=”2694″ size=”medium” link=”%7B%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fbusinessmirror.com.ph%2F2024%2F08%2F02%2Fsafc-heroes-in-action-a-unified-force-repacking-relief-goods-for-typhoon-carina-evacuees%2F%23%3A~%3Atext%3DThrough%2520its%2520corporate%2520social%2520responsibility%2Cevacuees%2520impacted%2520by%2520Typhoon%2520Carina.%22%2C%22target%22%3A%22_blank%22%2C%22rel%22%3A%22nofollow%22%7D”][us_image image=”2695″ size=”medium” link=”%7B%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fwww.manilatimes.net%2F2024%2F08%2F04%2Ftmt-newswire%2Fsafc-heroes-help-repack-relief-goods-for-typhoon-carina-evacuees%2F1961786%22%2C%22target%22%3A%22_blank%22%2C%22rel%22%3A%22nofollow%22%7D”][/us_hwrapper][/vc_column][/vc_row]
