Job Summary:
The Training Specialist will design, implement learning interventions and conduct training and development programs for employees.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in assessing the training needs through surveys, interviews, job observation etc.
- Develops and designs appropriate training programs for employees.
- Develops and select the appropriate training handbook/ handouts to support and facilitate learning.
- Facilitates training programs such as but not limited to, employee orientation/ onboarding, leadership training, train the trainers, presentation skills and other soft skills training.
- Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver training programs.
- Evaluates effectiveness of training programs through survey forms, interview and use the relevant data to recommend changes in the program as necessary.
- Ensures that the training modules are relevant and up-to-date.
- Maintains and updates the training activities such as attendance, evaluation result, training cost, and assessment, if any.
- Maintains knowledge in the latest trends and tools in training and development.
- Provide support in developing the annual training plan and reporting on the implementation of the plans.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience of working on a Training Specialist position
- Significant experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
- Strong knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
- Good experience of organizing the full training cycle
- Good practical experience with learning management software٫ MS Office, CANVA and databases
- Excellent knowledge of traditional and modern training methods٫ tools and techniques
- Close familiarity with talent management and succession planning
- Strong decision making and organizational skills
- Good ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
