Salary range: Php 40,000.00 – Php 45,000.00
Purpose of the Position
To provide technical support and to ensure the stable operation of the business networks. During the phases of planning, creation, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization, this includes all network hardware software and communication channels.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Installs new / rebuilds existing network equipment and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, firewalls, switches, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements;
- Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions;
- Ensures that effective service system is in place and resources are provided and used effectively to support IT service requirements;
- Provides regular advisory to the IT Supervisor and IT head on the status of various IT networks;
- Performs routine audits of operating network equipment and networks software installed in servers, firewalls, switches and applies updates, patches and configuration changes as necessary;
- Performs quarterly backups of network equipment, including firewall and switch configuration, and submits them for safekeeping to the IT Supervisor or IT Head;
- Coordinates with providers for the preventive maintenance of network equipment under contract. Maintains and housekeep all network equipment;
- Assumes responsibility of the day-to-day operation and administration of the network switches, firewalls, monitoring software and other associated network tasks, but not limited to address setting, user setups, and security measures;
- Technical configuration, installation, and monitoring are performed for LAN configurations and other internal and external network requirements;
- Installs and configures new network hardware, as well as any necessary server monitoring software;
- Responsible for putting in place firewall security and documenting how the required network requirements are set;
- Responsible for establishing Networks-level access control for internal and external users that includes VPN and other related access;
- Provides support on problems related to network access. Troubleshoots any reported problems;
- Performs and submits result of network performance tuning and capacity planning of network equipment on semi-annual basis;
- Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users;
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Education
• Graduate of bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ECE, and other related fields;
Preferred Work Experience
• At least four (4) years experience in a related field
• Specialized training in installing, configuring and managing of network equipment such as router, firewall and switch.
